Confirmed - Star Wars Episodes 1-6 heading to Cinemas!

UPDATED with official press release - Well my inner fanboy just exploded in excitement, Star Wars will be coming back to Australian Cinemas for 2 days only this May! Check out all the details below

A unique presentation of the Star Wars Saga on May 3rd & 4th  2014 , “Star Wars May the  4th Be With You  Movie Marathon”.

On Saturday May 3rd

Star Wars Episode I : The Phantom Menace

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

On Sunday May 4th

Star Wars Episode IV : A New Hope

Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

Star Wars Episode VI : Return of the Jedi

Unfortunately that is all we know right now, we don't know what edition of the original trilogy it will be but the likelihood is it will be the special editions. For those who hate 3D lucky for you it will be screened in digital 2D and it will only be screening at selected cinemas, we will give you the list of cinemas once we have it.

UPDATE - Many international websites are now picking up this story, as far as we are aware this is only for Australia, but fingers crossed it gets rolled out worldwide.

  • yess I been waiting to see the original triliogy in cinemas - i too do not want the edited versions though. I saw Phantom Menace in 3d and they digital'd Yoda! he was a puppet in TPM when I saw it the first time in cinemas in 1999 and he was a puppet aswell as in my first dvd copy.
