Debuting on channel 7’s Sunrise program this morning the trailer for the upcoming film TRACKS starring Mia Wasikowska has now landed online.
Based on the best selling memoir of the same name, Tracks tells the inspirational true story of Robyn Davidson’s 2700 km solo trek through the remote Australian desert to the Indian Ocean, aided only by her loyal dog Diggity, four unpredictable camels and, at intervals, the charismatic National Geographic photographer who chronicled this epic modern adventure.
Tracks stars Mia Wasikowska as Robyn Davidson, Adam Driver (Girls, Inside Llewyn Davis) as Rick Smolan and is directed by John Curran (Praise, We Don’t Live Here Anymore, The Painted Veil).
The highly anticipated film adaptation of this much-loved journey is the only Australian film to ever be invited to all three prestigious fall festivals: Venice Film Festival 2013, Toronto Film Festival 2013 and Telluride Film Festival 2013.
From Emile Sherman and Iain Canning, the Academy Award® winning producers of The King’s Speech, Tracks is one of Australia’s most iconic and inspirational true stories.
TRACKS is due for release on March 6th 2014, check out the trailer below
