Having grossed over 700 million worldwide it was inevitable that a sequel would happen.

Pre-production has already began on Maleficent 2 with Joachim R∅nning, who is best known for directing Pirates of the Caribbean, stepping in as director while Joe Roth returns as a producer. Linda Woolverton is also back to create the screenplay alongside Jez Butterworth, who has worked on such movies as Spectre and Edge of Tomorrow.

This time around Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning are joined by Ed Skrein (Deadpool) who is set to play a villain, while Michelle Pfeiffer is in talks to sign on as the Queen.

It’s not yet known where the story will pick up in the sequel but we will find out soon enough as filming is set to start later this year.

Best known as the international woman of mystery and the Chandler Bing among her friends. Monika grew up in a movie loving family in Europe, which meant she was not subjected to much censorship.  Her love of all things horror and action began very early on as a result.  Despite it all, she is not as big of an oddball as everyone (including family) originally predicted.   Thinks the term "chick flick" should be banned worldwide.
