When it was first announced that Disney was once again remaking one of its classics into a live-action film I was like “okay, here we go again” and then they announced that Tim Burton would be taking the reign of Dumbo and I automatically though 1. Who’s Helena and Johnny playing? and 2. Hrmm I wonder how dark he will make it… well by looking at the teaser I’m pleasantly surprised and with the cast hes pulled including Eva Green, Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito and Alan Arkin I also thought I heard Ewan McGregor say he was in it but by the credits it looks like hes not (maybe a cameo?) and for those playing at home.. no Helena or Johnny.
Disney’s new live-action feature film “Dumbo” introduces Holt Farrier (Farrell), a former circus star who finds his life turned upside down when he returns from the war. Circus owner Max Medici (DeVito) enlists Holt to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when Holt’s children (Parker and Hobbins) discover that Dumbo can fly, persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Keaton) and an aerial artist named Colette Marchant (Green) swoop in to make the peculiar pachyderm a star.
