Morbius moving to October and Bond’s No Time To Die likely to move aswell… again

So just a quick snippet of news this morning with Morbius moving to October and word is No Time to Die pondering a move aswell.

Morbius release date has been pushed back seven months, from March 18, 2021 to October 8 2021. This follows an initial delay for the comic book movie from July 31, 2020 to March 2021 amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

In Morbius, Leto plays Michael Morbius, a “scientist suffering from a rare blood disease who attempts to cure himself and instead becomes afflicted with a form of vampirism.” Morbius also stars Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft, Morbius’ fiance; Matt Smith as Loxias Crown, the villain of the film who also has the same blood disease as Morbius; Jared Harris as Morbius’ mentor; and Tyrese Gibson as an FBI agent. Daniel Espinosa, director of Life, helms Morbius, with a script by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.

With markets in New York and California still closed (and rightly so, people’s safety is more important) its causing a ripple effect across the entire industry world wide so I have a feeling we will see some date movement in at least the first half of 2021..

And with Bond its currently sitting for release in April 2021 but its more than likely moving to the fall in the US so around October/November or so says a Dutch Exhibitor who let it slip during an interview.. I expect some kind of announcement in the coming weeks.

In good news though Marvel boss Kevin Feige has said Black Widow will be sticking to its May release date. (April 29 here in Australia)

More info to come!
