Casting appears to be continuing for the sequel to the Stephen Sommer’s directed film ‘G.I. Joe’ with some rumours speculating that veteran actor Bruce Willis is in talks to join the project.
Willis appeared on screens in 2010 in the comic book adaptation ‘Red’, and has a number of projects currently in the post-production and pre-production phases of development.
It is rumoured that Willis is being considered for the role of General Joseph Colton, whom fans would recognise as a character from the comic book series rather than the animated series. General Colton is regarded as the first G.I. Joe established as the ultimate freedom fighting force by President John F. Kennedy in 1963.
The film is expected to begin shooting mid 2011 with a scheduled release date of late June 2012.
