The Aliens Supanova reunion is officially happening, with several of James Cameron’s Colonial Marines heading to Adelaide and Brisbane as the sci-fi classic celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Supanova Comic Con & Gaming has announced a major Aliens lineup for its upcoming 2026 events, bringing together cast members from the 1986 film for a rare Australian convention appearance.
Supanova Adelaide runs from October 30 to November 1, 2026, while Brisbane follows from November 6 to 8, 2026.
Aliens Supanova Reunion Brings Back the Colonial Marines
Leading the lineup is Mark Rolston, who played Private Drake in Aliens.
Rolston has gone on to appear across some of pop culture’s biggest franchises, including The X-Files, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Ahsoka and Supernatural.
His film credits also include The Shawshank Redemption, The Departed and Rush Hour.
Jenette Goldstein Returns as Vasquez
Joining Rolston is Jenette Goldstein, best known to Aliens fans as Private Vasquez.
The smart-gunner became one of the movie’s most memorable characters and remains a fan favourite four decades later.
Goldstein also appeared in Terminator 2: Judgment Day as John Connor’s foster mother Janelle Voight, along with roles in Near Dark and Lethal Weapon 2.
More Aliens Cast Members Join Supanova
Daniel Kash, who played Private Spunkmeyer, will also appear at both events.
Kash has since appeared in series including Star Trek: Discovery, The Expanse, Orphan Black and The Strain.
Cynthia Dale Scott, who played Corporal Dietrich, will also join the Colonial Marines lineup in Adelaide and Brisbane.
And of course, you can’t celebrate Aliens without a Xenomorph.
Carl Toop, who performed as the Alien Warrior in key scenes throughout the movie, will also appear at both conventions.

Ricco Ross Joins Supanova Brisbane
Brisbane fans will get one additional Colonial Marine.
Ricco Ross, who played Private Frost, will appear exclusively at the Brisbane event.
Ross has also appeared in Doctor Who, Babylon 5, Mission: Impossible and the Highlander television series.
Aliens Celebrates 40 Years
Released in 1986, Aliens remains one of the most celebrated science-fiction sequels ever made.
James Cameron’s follow-up to Ridley Scott’s Alien transformed the story into a full-scale action movie while introducing the Colonial Marines who became a huge part of the film’s legacy.
The Supanova reunion gives Australian fans a rare chance to meet several members of that unit together during the film’s 40th anniversary year.

Highlander Is Also Celebrating 40 Years
Aliens isn’t the only 1986 favourite celebrating four decades at Supanova.
Christopher Lambert has also been announced for Adelaide and Brisbane as Highlander marks its own 40th anniversary.
That gives both events a strong dose of 1980s cult movie nostalgia.
More Supanova Guests Announced
The growing guest list also includes Elijah Wood and Sean Astin from The Lord of the Rings, Alan Tudyk from Firefly and Resident Alien, and Anson Mount from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Other announced guests include Kevin Eastman, Lenore Zann, John Jarratt, Rena Owen and Jed Brophy.
Brisbane will also feature exclusive appearances from Graham McTavish, Jamison Newlander, Michael Dudikoff and Nathan Jones.

When Is Supanova Adelaide and Brisbane?
Supanova Adelaide takes place from October 30 to November 1, 2026 at the Adelaide Showground.
Supanova Brisbane follows from November 6 to 8, 2026 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
