AccessReel Trailers – Burlesque

Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for BURLESQUE starring Christina Aquilera as the small town girl whos life changes dramatically when she starts working at the burlesque bar. It looks all pretty and I’ve always had a small crush on Christina but I just don’t know about this one.

For starters it looks to me like its across between “Coyote Ugly” and “Make it Happen” and neither of those movies where that great and some of the dialog in the trailer is quite shocking! But I am a big fan of Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci and Peter Gallagher! So Maybe.. Just Maybe it might be better then what it looks…. any thoughts?

The Burlesque Lounge has its best days behind it. Tess (Cher), a retired dancer and owner of the venue, struggles to keep the aging theatre alive, facing all kinds of financial and artistic challenges. With the Lounge’s troupe members becoming increasingly distracted by personal problems and a threat coming from a wealthy businessman’s quest to buy the spot from Tess, the good fortune seems to have abandoned the club altogether. Meanwhile, the life of Ali (Aguilera), a small-town girl from Iowa, is about to change dramatically. Hired by Tess as a waitress at the Lounge, Ali escapes a hollow past and quickly falls in love with the art of burlesque. Backed by newfound friends amongst the theatre’s crew, she manages to fulfil her dreams of being on stage herself. Things take a dramatic turn though when Ali’s big voice makes her become the main attraction of the revue.

BURLESQUE is due to his American Cinemas on November 4th, and Australian Screens the 26th December… Which personally I really don’t think its the best film for a Boxing Day Release?
