Russell Crowe to Join Tom Cruise in Mummy Reboot?

First Tom Cruise and Johnny Depp, and now (possibly) Russell Crowe…it appears Universal is pulling out the big guns to help power their new “Monster Universe”.

The studio is looking to launch a new franchise based on reboots of their classic monster movies. Tom Cruise is signed for THE MUMMY and Johnny Depp is to be THE INVISIBLE MAN (why on earth would you ever want to make Johnny Deep invisible?!)

Russell Crowe is reported to be in early talks to a play a Dr Jekyll-type role, with the character first making an appearance in THE MUMMY and a possible spin-off solo flick to come later.

THE MUMMY is slated for June 9, 2017 while THE INVISIBLE MAN isn’t scheduled til 2018.

Sian's love for movies spawned from having a tight mother whose generosity stretched only to hiring movies once a week for entertainment. As a pre-teen Sian spent more pocket money then she earned on cinema tickets and thus sought a job at the cinema. Over the next decade she rose to be one of the greats in her backwater, six-screen cinema complex, zooming through the ranks from candy bar wench with upselling superpowers, to pasty projectionist, to a manager rocking a pencil skirt. Sian went on to study Journalism at university though feels her popcorn shovelling days were far more educational
