Many of you know Swancon is the annual Western Australian Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention. The 36th Swancon (and 50th Natcon) is at the Perth Hyatt over Easter Weekend. And Accessreel has the good fortune to be in attendance.
Our panel will be doing a live review of the new movie THOR which is released in Australia on the 21st of April. In fact, we are doing “reviews plural”. Panel members will not compare notes beforehand but give their own take on the new Marvel superhero flick directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins. Will there be a lot of Norse love in the room or Asgardian dissent?
For those of you wanting to suss out Swancon. prices are as follows: until 20 April 2011, membership of Swancon Thirty Six | Natcon Fifty will be $210, or $155 for students and concession card holders. On Thursday 21 April prices will be $250 / $185. You can buy day memberships for $70 per day. or $50 student/concession. For further details check the Swancon site.
We will also be showing new movie trailers and discussing upcoming releases. The panel will be 7.30-8.30 on Saturday 23rd April in Plaza 3.
