Today Focus Pictures graces us with the new trailer for the upcoming Sofia Coppola Film SOMEWHERE, now Sofia wrote and directed one of my favorite movies of all time plus oscar winner ‘Lost In Translation’ and to me by watching the trailer for SOMEWHERE it has a great feel and somewhat similar to the feel I got with ‘Lost in Translation, So this film is now on my too See list!
Stephen Dorff is the lead in this film he plays a hard-living hollywood actor, Elle Fanning the younger sister to Dakota Fanning plays the daughter we last saw her in “Benjamin Button” and funnily enough Chris Pontius who rose to what you could call fame with the Jackass flicks is also cast in this film and looks to be highly billed so that should be an interesting casting choice? We shall see.
Writer/director Sofia Coppola reunites with the film company with which she made the Academy Award-winning hit “Lost in Translation.” Her new film is an intimate story set in contemporary Los Angeles; Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff) is a bad-boy actor stumbling through a life of excess at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Hollywood. With an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter (Elle Fanning), Johnny is forced to look at the questions we must all confront.
