In 1975 action specialist Sam Peckinpah directed James Caan and Robert Duvall in the violent thriller THE KILLER ELITE. In 2011 newcomer Gary McKendry directs Jason Statham and Clive Owen in the remake. The original movie was about internal strife in the CIA. In this English take on the story, the British Secret Service is the agency with the lethal human resource challenges.
Much of the film was shot in Melbourne and there’s a strong Aussie support cast including Dominic Purcell, Micahel Dorman, Grant Bowler, Aden Young, and CHUCK’s Yvonne Strahovski. The US release is the 23rd September. The Australian release is still to be announced.
