The news has hit today that Amy Adams (The Fighter, Enchanted), has won the much sought after role of Lois Lane in the Zak Snyder reboot of Superman: The Man of Steel.
Ending weeks of speculation as to who will be playing The Daily Planets dyslexic but brilliant reporter, Adams has come out of left field to take the role.
I think she is perfect for the role. Lois was always a few years older than Clark in all the best incarnations of the story and while there is more than a few years between Henry Cavill and Amy Adams, it will be more like the Christopher Reeve/Margot Kidder dynamic.
Joining Ms Adams in this reboot is Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman.
Filming is to start in August for a 2012 release.
