The Avengers: Doomsday trailer has arrived, giving Marvel fans their first major look at the next epic chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios has officially begun building towards its next major Avengers event, with Avengers: Doomsday set to bring together heroes from across the MCU in what looks to be one of the studio’s biggest films to date.
While plot details remain tightly guarded, the trailer teases a large-scale Marvel event filled with returning heroes, multiverse stakes and the kind of world-ending threat usually reserved for the Avengers’ biggest battles.
Avengers Doomsday Trailer Teases Marvel’s Next Major Event
Avengers: Doomsday marks the return of directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who previously helped shape some of Marvel Studios’ biggest cinematic moments with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
The film also brings together a massive ensemble cast, with familiar MCU faces and major returning characters all expected to play a part in the next phase of Marvel’s big-screen story.
Among the names connected to the film are Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, Paul Rudd, Tom Hiddleston, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and more.
After the universe-shaking events of the Infinity Saga, Avengers: Doomsday looks set to push the MCU into another massive crossover, with Marvel once again leaning into scale, spectacle and the promise of heroes assembling against impossible odds.
Avengers: Doomsday opens in Australian Cinemas December 18.
