Well Comic-con 2010 has started and news has started pouring out of San Diego on all this related to pop-culture.
One of the big movie announcments for Day 1 of Comic-Con this week was the man attached to direct the AVENGERS Film.
As Report over at ComingSoon.net, Joss Whedon went before the crowd in Hall H at the San Diego Convetion Centre announcing his involvement as director. As an update on where thins are at with the AVENGERS Whedon explains he’s still in the writing process but appears to be very excited to be working on these characters.
I have to admitI think it’s an interesting choice, Joss Whedon quite obviously has a large following of fans, though most of his higher profile projects in recent years have either failed to get off the ground or been very short lived. Having been involved in writing comics though and displaying an obvious passion for the material throughout his career I’m looking forward to his take on the AVENGERS.
THE AVENGERS is cheduled for a release worldwide on the 4th May. 2012
