In 1995, the first BAD BOYS film premiered. Starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence and directed by Michael Bay, it was made for $19 million and drew $140 million at the box office. BAD BOYS II was made in 2003 for $130 million and took $273 million.
Now it’s time for the third film of the Bad Boys franchise. Will Smith returns as Detective Lieutenant Michael “Mike” Lowrey and Martin Lawrence is back as Detective Lieutenant Marcus Burnett. They reunite once again when a fierce Romanian mob boss, whose brother they defeated, exacts retaliation just as the duo are about to officially retire.
The remaining cast is Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Paola Núñez, Kate del Castillo, Nicky Jam and Joe Pantoliano. The film is helmed by Belgian directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (who are also attached to direct the upcoming BEVERLY HILLS COP 4).
BAD BOYS FOR LIFE will premiere in January 2020.
