Back in early December, we brought you the news that Jason Momoa is in talks to join the film. In the item we also mentioned that another negotiation was talking place with a big male star.
This male star happens to be Dwayne Johnson. He recently let the cat out of the bag by stating that he has just had a studio meeting regarding an unidentified DC Comics property. He teased the fans by tweeting the following; We just had a big meeting w/ Warner Bros CEO @DCComics 2014″ Johnson then responded to a question about playing a comic book character. “[W]e will partner up and create the cool bad assert.
Although, no project names were mentioned, it is safe to assume it’s for the upcoming movie. As it stands, the only DC Comics feature currently announced to shoot in 2014 is Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman and unless negotiations fail, it is highly likely that Johnson will appear in the film in some capacity.
As expected, the rumour mill has been going into over drive as to who he will play. While fans are excited at the news, everyone will have to wait a little longer to find out what his character will be.
Warner Bros so far has signed on Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Johnson’s ‘Fast & Furious’ co-star Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. ‘Man of Steel’ sequel set for 2015.
