‘Buffy’, ‘True Blood’ Stars Return To Supanova This Weekend For A Special Online Event

Supanova Comic Con & Gaming is set to make its 2021 return this weekend, with its first ever online Supa-Star event! Taking place on Saturday, 13 February, Supanova has joined forces with Modern Films to present an interactive online screening of A Place Among The Dead, a revealing and terrifying exploration of our fascination with vampires, starring Juliet Landau, Gary Oldman, Ron Perlman and more.

Writer, director and star of the film, Juliet Landau, best known for her portrayal of Drusilla in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will join fans for online Meet and Greets, as well as a live Q&A, interactive Zoom chat and quiz after the screening, alongside co-star and fellow Buffyverse alumnus Harry Groener, as well as veteran film and theatre actress Dawn Didawick.

The film has garnered some serious Supa-Star support, with pop culture favourites signing on to offer exclusive one-on-one and group Meet and Greets prior to the film. Julie Benz marks the third Sunnydale villain to join the ‘Whirlwind’ of stars, with True Blood’s Kristin Bauer van Straten and Angel co-creator David Greenwalt rounding out the event’s vampiric appearances.

Not all stars are in front of the camera. Taking fans behind the scenes in the post-film Zoom chat, cinematographer Deverill Weekes (Inland Empire), poster artist Mark McHaley (The X-Files: Season 10 comics), composer Monica Richards (Faith and the Muse) and more will offer invaluable insight for burgeoning creators.

Tickets for the screening and the interactive experience are on sale now via Growtix. Note that Meet and Greets cannot be purchased without a screening ticket, and that fans must be logged into the account they used to purchase their ticket for Meet and Greets to be displayed. The event schedule can be found below.
