Celebrating 23 years of short film excellence Flickerfest is Australia’s leading short film festival. Flickerfest is Australia’s only Academy® accredited and BAFTA recognised short film festival, that continues to present an A-list short film programme recognised amongst the best in the world. Over 2,300 entries were received for Flickerfest 2014, and only the top 120 shorts have been selected in official competition, all handpicked to represent the most innovative, creative and cutting edge short films being produced in the world today. Flickerfest will be screening an entertaining, inspiring and award winning range of shorts, many of which are world or Australian premieres, giving local Flickerfest audiences the first look at the hottest short films in the world today.
Flickerfest Screening at Camelot Outdoor Cinema from 6- 9th of March. The celebrations will kick off on Thursday, the 6th of March with pre-screening drinks, food, entertainment and Best of Australian Shorts. Highlights include WA film Tango Underpants (Best of Australian Shorts) which tells the story of a young Australian backpacker who travels to Buenos Aires – directed by Perth filmmaker Miranda Edmonds, starring Emma Booth.
