Get out your 2016 diary – this is gonna take some forethought!
Disney and Marvel have officially announced the CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 release date. It’s set for May 6, 2016 – the same date as the still untitled Warner Bros. Batman vs. Superman flick.
Marvel made the announcement on its website, after the record breaking US opening of CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER.
The sequel earned $96.2 million in the US over the weekend – the largest domestic April debut on record. It has grossed over $300 million worldwide.
While the Batman vs. Superman movie was initially slated for July 2015, three months ago Warner Bros. moved it back saying the delay would “help to fully realise the vision”.
Clearly at the time they didn’t realise it would mean they’d be up against the almighty Marvel…
It’ll be interesting to see if Warner Bros. vacate the date or decide to stand tough.
So which would be your pick? Who would you go see opening night?
