Variety has reported that Chloe Moretz who gives a stellar performance in ‘Kick Ass’ has been cast to headline the new film ‘Hick’ which is an adaptation of the novel written by Andrea Portes.
Portes has also written the script for the film which is a coming of age story about a 13 year old runaway girl who goes to Las Vegas. ‘Hick’ is estimated to have a small budget of approximately $6 million and is schedule to start production in 2010.
Moretz has several films in either post-production, or are currently filming including the Matt Reeves directed film ‘Let Me In’ and the Ami Canaan Mann directed film ‘The Fields’ which are scheduled for release in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
