Cobra Kai Season 3 leaves YouTube Premium for Netflix

Cobra Kai Season 3 leaves YouTube Premium for Netflix

If you have been living under a rock for the past few years and not noticed the amazing series and critically acclaimed Cobra Kai you really need to get onto it… In great news today Cobra Kai season three is moving to Netflix leaving the YouTube platform.

YouTube had previously picked up the comedy for a third season before changing its business model from a subscription to an ad-supported platform. Netflix will get season three exclusively and the first two seasons on a non-exclusive basis. Funny thing is when Cobra Kai was originally taken out after Macchio and Zabka signed on Hulu and Netflix did bid for the series and lost out and once again those two streamers were head to head again attempting to get it this time and thankfully Netflix won out.

The series continues the story of the “Karate Kid” film franchise, with Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprising their roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence respectively. Martin Kove also joined the series at the end of Season 1, reprising the role of sensei John Kreese.

No date for when season three will drop on Netflix but lets hope we don’t have to wait too long, the series is worth watching just for the finale for season two alone – if you haven’t been educated see the trailer to season 1 below.
