If you watched Despicable Me and wanted more of those loveable, babbling Minions; get excited! Not only will they be a part of the movie’s sequel, but they’re also getting their own feature film!
With Despicable Me’s sequel due out next year, and with the Minion’s spin off set for release in 2014, lovers of those yellow peanuts with legs will certainly get their fill of laughs. Illumination Entertainment and Universal have also installed a ride based on the creatures at Universal Studios Orlando. It seems these little yellow thingys (what are they anyway?!) are going to give the Madagascar penguins a run for their money.
The storyline for this spin-off is being kept under wraps at this point, but the big question is how they will make a story work focused on the squat characters, given that they mostly babble away in a language only they understand? According to the two studios, they’ve cracked a story that’ll make it all work.
