Deuce Bigalow aka Rob Schneider and more join the Perth Comedy Festival!

The third announcement for the Perth Comedy Festival sees Rob Schneider (USA), Jimeoin(IRE), Arj Barker (USA), Angelo Tsarouchas (CAN), Craig Hill (SCO), DeAnne Smith (CAN) and Paul Chowdhry (UK) added to an already impressive list of funny folk set to make 2018’s festival one of the strongest line-ups yet.
 
The recently announced Australian contingent consists of Cam KnightJames Smith andRosie Waterland alongside locals Janelle KoenigNadia CollinsColin Ebsworth and Rory Lowe.  
The festival returns 23 April – 20 May and tickets to these shows go on sale as of 10am, Friday 2 February via perthcomedyfestival.com.
 
A household name and a bonafide comedy star, Rob Schneider (USA) is returning to Australia with his brand new show – “An Evening With Rob Schneider.” Rob first came to prominence on NBC’s Saturday Night Live along with friends Adam Sandler, Tim Meadows and David Spade. He’s starred in some of the top comedy feature films of the past 20 years including Grown UpsYou Don’t Mess With the ZohanBig DaddyThe Waterboy and Deuce Biggalow: Male Gigolo and was last in Australia in 2011. 
 
Australia’s favourite American comedian, Arj Barker, discusses the finest free-range topics in his show “Organic.” Brimming with wholesome hilarity, the jokes are cruelty-free, always tested on animals and may contain traces of nuts.
 
Award-winning comedian Angelo Tsarouchas (CAN) is back with all new material where he discusses what America really thinks about Canada, self-realisation, living with sleep apnea, parenthood, blind racism and his life being married to an Armenian in Los Angeles in the aptly titled show – “Appetite for Discussion.”
 
Comedy legend Jimeoin (IRE) returns to Perth with his show “The Ridiculous” promising to be ridiculous and hilarious; taking you into the brain of one of the world’s best stand-up comedians and masters of observational humour.

Scotland’s kilted and award-winning comedy treasure Craig Hill returns to Perth with the riotously funny “Someone’s Gonna Get Kilt,” and eveyone’s favourite Barry-nominated Canadian-American DeAnne Smith also returns with her smart, silly brilliance and a brand new show called “Worth It.
 
After completing a phenomenal 100 date sell-out 2017/18 tour and becoming the first Asian stand-up to play a sold-out show at London’s Wembley Arena, comedy powerhouse and star of Taskmaster, Live at The Apollo and Stand Up for the Week, Paul Chowdhry is coming to Australia for the very first time with “Live Innit.”
 
Rosie Waterland brings her hilarious number one podcast to the live stage with “Mum Says My Memoir is a Lie – The Live Event” featuring Rosie and Mama Lisa live on stage.

Em Rusciano is going to unleash her inner evil queen with a special show April 28 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. 
 
James Smith, one of only four Australian comedians ever to perform on CONAN, delivers his “Pleasure Enthusiast” show and Cam Knight is going to “Get Rich or Die Trying” while local funny man Rory Lowe is going to “Get Rich or High Trying.” 
 
Rounding out the bill we have some of our favourite local funny ladies – Janelle Koenig with “Daddy’s Girl” and Nadia Collins with “The Big Thingy” and funny man Colin Ebsworth with “Joke Magotes.”

The Perth Comedy Festival rolls into town 23 April – 20 May with shows at the Regal Theatre (Subiaco), the State Theatre Centre of WA (Northbridge) as well as the Hellenic Club of WA (Perth).
 
The ever popular Perth Comedy Festival Gala is set for Thursday 26 April at the Regal Theatre; the perfect stand-up sampler, the Gala presents the unique chance to see emerging and established comedians on the one bill.
