I’ll admit FANTASTIC FOUR (2005) was perhaps one of the greatest disappointments of my teenage years. No, I’m not exaggerating. 

After Sam Raimi’s SPIDERMAN, I fell in love with comic book movies and was dreaming of big things from the foursome

Ouch: What a bump back to reality I had.

Regardless of the sour taste the original left in viewers’ mouths the world over, Marvel’s iconic team wasn’t laid to rest: Pre-production for THE FANTASTIC FOUR reboot is well and truly underway with the cast now revealed….

 

Miles Teller (DIVERGENT) is Reid Richards/Mr Fantastic.

Kate Mara (HOUSE OF CARDS) is Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman.

Michael B. Jordan (FRUITVALE STATION) is Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.

Jamie Bell is Ben Grimm/The Thing.

 

It’s not exactly what you’d call a super well-known A-list cast (Jamie Bell aside), and director Josh Trank only has two former projects under his belt. It’s a youthful team in comparison to the 2005 crew; here’s hoping the new blood will bring a fresh new take to the franchise!

THE FANTASTIC FOUR is set for a mid 2015 release.

Sian's love for movies spawned from having a tight mother whose generosity stretched only to hiring movies once a week for entertainment. As a pre-teen Sian spent more pocket money then she earned on cinema tickets and thus sought a job at the cinema.
