Fifty Shades…

Fifty Shades…

Production has begun this week on the sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey, and yes, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are reprising their roles as Christian and Anastasia.

This time joined by director James Foley (Fear, House of Cards), and Kim Basinger who will play Elena Lincoln, the woman responsible for Grey’s lifestyle choices.

Paramount Pictures have changed their approach this time around by focusing on the thriller aspect of the story, hoping to attract an even wider audience.  E.L James’s husband, Niall Leonard was hired to write the script. Which should be somewhat interesting considering the widely publicised “creative differences” between James and previous director, Sam Taylor-Johnson, over the content of the last movie.

Eric Johnson (Criminal Minds) has also joined the cast recently as Jack Hyde, Ana’s obsessed boss who ends up causing trouble for Steele and Grey. Aussie Bella Heathcote (Neighbours) will play Leila Williams, one of Christian’s former “submissive” who also becomes obsessed with Ana. Rita Ora, Luke Grimes, Katie Mumford and Victor Rasuk, will all reprise their roles as well.

Fans will be happy to know that Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed will be filmed back to back.

Fifty Shades Darker is set to hit cinems in February 2017.

Fifty Shades Freed will be released in February 2018.

Best known as the international woman of mystery and the Chandler Bing among her friends. Monika grew up in a movie loving family in Europe, which meant she was not subjected to much censorship.  Her love of all things horror and action began very early on as a result.  Despite it all, she is not as big of an oddball as everyone (including family) originally predicted.   Thinks the term "chick flick" should be banned worldwide.
