Dig out your tiara: Disney urges you to celebrate your inner princess with the Disney Princess Magical Movie Month starting this weekend.
If you’ve been to see a Disney film at the cinemas lately (and are a film nerd like me that has to watch every ad and trailer before the film) you’ll most probably have seen the ‘I Am a Princess’ campaign ads.
I’ll be honest: Disney knows how to market itself. It’s a gorgeous and inspiring ad that you think will lead on to tell you about some amazing children’s charity or program…but nope: it’s just consumerism promotion at it’s best.
Still, it has succeeded at getting me very excited about the upcoming Disney Princess Magical Movie Month to be held at selected Reading, Hoyts, Grand and various independent cinemas starting this weekend.
The line up includes the favourites CINDERELLA, ALADDIN, TANGLED, THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG and THE LITTLE MERMAID. See the schedule here
Disney invites everyone to “celebrate the princess in every girl” with tickets as low as $7.50.
It starts tomorrow so locate yourself a child (merely as a cover you understand? It’s YOU who really wants to be there), grab some glitter and get going!
