Frock Up for a Flamboyant Film Function

Frock Up for a Flamboyant Film Function

Just the name of this film gets me keyed up; I’M SO EXCITED!  No, that’s not me losing my cool, that’s the name of the movie.

Brought to you by renowned Spanish Director, Pedro Almodóva, the film is set on a malfunctioning plane. Whilst the pilots strive to find a solution and avoid certain death, the crew devote themselves body and soul to ensuring the passengers enjoy their last moments of life.

Camp and kitsch, with promises of “sky-high choreography”, the title says it all: I’M SO EXCITED!

You can get excited too, with a gala function in Perth on Thursday September 19.

The event kicks off at 8:30pm with a film-inspired show by Connections Nightclub performers Katya Kokov and Veronica Jean Jones, topped off with complimentary refreshments.

The film takes flight at 9:00pm, and the fun continues at Connections with an after party.

Believe it or not, your standard cinema ticket gets you access to all three events! Nice!

The dress is “sky high”, so frock up darling!

Sian's love for movies spawned from having a tight mother whose generosity stretched only to hiring movies once a week for entertainment. As a pre-teen Sian spent more pocket money then she earned on cinema tickets and thus sought a job at the cinema. Over the next decade she rose to be one of the greats in her backwater, six-screen cinema complex, zooming through the ranks from candy bar wench with upselling superpowers, to pasty projectionist, to a manager rocking a pencil skirt. Sian went on to study Journalism at university though feels her popcorn shovelling days were far more educational
