George Lucas “not much to do” on Star Wars VII

As work begins on the next chapter of Star Wars, George Lucas clarifies his role on the latest film.

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood George Lucas fessed up to his non-eventful role in Star Wars Episode VII, revealing: “I don’t really have much to do”.  Hmmm…. exciting.

However, Lucas has not been entirely ousted. He has been given a fancy title if nothing else. Lucas has signed as ‘Creative Consultant’ which he explains as: “basically if the filmmakers ask ‘who’s this guy’, I tell them.” The role seems a little pointless really when there are a million crazed fans on the planet who are probably just as able at answering said questions, but then what kind of Star Wars film would it be if George’s name wasn’t in the credits?!

Still no word on who will take on the role as Director, though rumours are hot dropping names such as Conlin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed), Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class), Brad Bird (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) and Jon Favreau (Iron Man).

Sian's love for movies spawned from having a tight mother whose generosity stretched only to hiring movies once a week for entertainment. As a pre-teen Sian spent more pocket money then she earned on cinema tickets and thus sought a job at the cinema. Over the next decade she rose to be one of the greats in her backwater, six-screen cinema complex, zooming through the ranks from candy bar wench with upselling superpowers, to pasty projectionist, to a manager rocking a pencil skirt. Sian went on to study Journalism at university though feels her popcorn shovelling days were far more educational
