Something random and splendid for all you comic and action film fanatics. Arnold Schwartzenegger is teaming up with the legendary comic scribe Stan Lee to create a pilot for an animated series called “ The Governator”.
The cartoon series will mirror the actor’s film and political career whilst also satirising it and creating a character that is an invincible action packed political powerhouse. There was speculation online that the announcement was an elaborate hoax to coincide with April Fools day but Schwartzenegger has assured us that the cartoon was always going to be his “back up plan” seeing as the American Constitution will not allow him to run for president. Getting Stan Lee to help create a badass cartoon in your image is definitely the next best thing.
Schwartzenegger elaborates further on the cartoon series and it’s premise;
“It takes my entire career, if its body building, if it’s acting, if its’ the governorship and combines it into one,” Schwarzenegger said in a video interview posted on EW’s site. “The Governator is designed to fight crime, to fight natural disasters…this guy will jump and solve the problems.”
The Governator is still in production and won’t be out until next year, the series will centre on the actor and how he decides to become a crime fighter after his term in office expires. He even builds a state of the art “Arnie Cave”, Batman style and battles an evil organization called Gangsters Imposters Racketeers Liars & Irredeemable Ex-cons (or G.I.R.L.I.E men). There will also be inclusions of my real lie people including his wife and children. Arnie has stated that his wife doesn’t even know about it yet and that it will be a “great surprise for her”
I personally cannot wait to see this.
