As one star falls from the impressive ‘talent’ lined-up for EXPENDABLES 3, another shoots to join the cluster: Sylvester Stallone revealed via twitter earlier today that Bruce Willis will not be returning for the third round of Expendables action, instead Harrison Ford will be added to the mix.
Stallone’s tweet was rather to the point if I say so myself, reading: “WILLIS OUT…HARRISON FORD IN!! GREAT NEWS!!!” Ouch!
Read on, however, and you could be persuaded that his ecstasy is not so much driven by a joy of having old Brucey out of the equation, but rather that he has long desired to work with Ford. His tweet went on to say “Been waiting years for this!!!!”
Yet almost immediately another tweet followed: “GREEDY AND LAZY…A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE” Hmmmm…. What do we think? Do I sense a little falling out between the action heroes?
One thing’s clear: Sylvester sure likes his caps lock key and exclamation marks!
Production on EXPENDABLES 3 is scheduled to start later this year/early next year, with release slated for August 2014.
