With Supanova Sydney and Perth coming up extremely quick we have had a few of the guests drop out due to work commitments etc, but in great news Tom Felton who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series has decided to join the Supanova team once again after recently gracing them with his presence at Supanova Brisbane and Melbourne.
This is a great edition to the current Supanova Lineup, with the recent withdrawals of Luke Perry (Beverly Hills 90210, Jeremiah), Cary Elwes (Saw 1, Saw 3-D, The Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights) and Gil Gerard (Buck Rogers in the 25th Century). Many Supanova fans are still holding their breath on any new announcements and really so am I, with the I dream of Jeannie cast some people were a bit confused with what sort of convention they were attending, well that was the chatter on the accessreel.com facebook page.
Heres Tom’s Bio from the Supanova Page.
Tom Felton has been acting since he was 8 years old at the suggestion of a friend of the family who recognized Felton’s theatrical qualities. He met with an agent, and two weeks later, after auditioning with over 400 other children, he landed an international commercial campaign and went abroad to work.
After working on “Anna and the King” with Jodie Foster, Tom received his big break in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone as Draco Malfoy, school boy rival to the titular character as played by Daniel Radcliffe. Tom managed to film the part of Draco in all eight “Harry Potter” movies while also having an active life outside the magical world it created. In between shoots he filmed independent horror movies The Disappeared, 13Hrs, and The Apparition with Twilight’s Ashley Greene. It was directly after completing his filming on “Harry Potter” that he landed his roles in “Rise of the Apes” and “From the Rough.”
A talented singer, he started singing in a church choir at the age of 7 and has been a member of four choirs at school. He declined an offer to join the Guildford Cathedral Choir. He is a keen sportsman enjoying football (soccer), ice skating, roller blading, basketball, cricket, swimming, and tennis.
In between acting gigs, Tom still manages times with his music. He is one of the founding owners and talent of Six String Productions, a recording company devoted to signing young musical artists overlooked by the major recording industry.
Tom looks forward to seeing all his fans at both the Sydney and Perth shows and will be appearing each Saturday 10.30am to 5.30pm and each Sunday 11am to 5pm for autograph* and photo* sessions and a Sunday Q&A session at each expo.
* Autograph ($30 each) and photograph ($40 each) fees apply
