He may be approaching the big ‘five-oh’, but Hugh Jackman is up for more Wolverine action, revealing there’s some “cool ideas” in the pipeline for another solo flick.
Presenting a different spin on the popular character, James Mangold’s flick THE WOLVERINE could be considered a surprising hit.
In fact, by the end of it’s international run, THE WOLVERINE is set to be the second highest grossing X-Men movie. So, of course, the film’s director (James Mangold), and the Wolverine himself (Jackman) have already been signed for a sequel.
The film is deep pipeline (there’s not even the beginnings a script yet) but in a new interview Jackman said he recently spoke to Mangold and the ideas he has are “really cool”:
“I was on the phone with Jim….There are some really cool ideas that I’m dying to tell you, but that would be giving away a secret that’s not even [fully] formed yet”
Jackman teased in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.
There’s no point even speculating on what these “cool ideas” may be until we see Bryan Singer’s new X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, so we’ll just have to sit tight and see what eventuates. Let’s just hope it doesn’t stay buried deep in the pipeline for too long… at 45 years old surely Jackman can’t whip out a super ripped Wolverine for much longer?!
