Dirt Music is opening in cinemas October 8th you can check out our review here and thanks to Universal we got go the chance to speak to director Gregor Jordan who came over to WA to shoot the film pretty much from the bottom to the very top of the state.
Jordan’s films include Two Hands (1999), Buffalo Soldiers (2001), and Ned Kelly (2003). He has also directed the concert video These Days: Live in Concert (2004) by Australian rock band Powderfinger.
Dirt Music brings together Kelly Macdonald & Garrett Hedlund in the title roles of Georgie and Lu with David Wenham as Jim Buckridge.
Georgie is slowly suffocating in a loveless marriage to fishing tycoon Jim Buckridge. Handsome poacher Lu is an irresistible symbol of the excitement she craves. A passionate affair follows that reveals the dark secrets in Lu’s past and forces him to take flight into the blistering heat of the outback. Georgie follows, determined to find him and bring him back.
