Tom Cruise has made the call to put Jack Reacher 2 in development.
The first film was released in 2012 based on the thriller books by Lee Child. Paramount and Skydance Productions are collaborating again to put another film together based on the book called ‘Never Go Back’ in the eighteen (so far) book series.
‘Never Go Back’ is said to be one of the best books in the series which sees Reacher on a cross-country run after facing trumped-up charges, a woman claiming he fathered her child and a female commanding officer.
Cruise is expected to reprise his role as Jack Reacher, a former military police officer, however they are looking for writers as Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote and directed the first film, is focusing on MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: 5.
JACK REACHER made $218 million worldwide after a cost of $60 million to make. If the second film beats that I’m sure there’ll be plenty more Jack Reacher films to come.
