We have seen the official photos of Ben Affleck’s Batman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill’s Superman, and have heard bits of what we can expect from them in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film. However, we have yet to discover anything about Jesse Eisenberg’s version of Lex Luther. Until now.
In an interview this weekend, Eisenberg finally gave fans some information about his role: “I got to know one of the writers Chris Terrio, and we were able to discuss things at length and figure out who this person is to create a real psychology behind what is, perhaps, in a comic book, a less than totally modern psychology,” he says. “I can only say I’ve been asked to play an interesting role. A complicated, challenging person. There are some indications of how the character should behave based on the script, and then an actor makes it his or her own.”
He went further by revealing that he had expressed interest in playing Superman’s nemesis even before seeing a script for the movie.
In related news, Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa has been strongly rumoured to be playing Aquaman in this upcoming film, however Warner Bros Pictures have yet to confirm his role.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for release in March 2016
