Kimmy Look At Moooiii – I’m on the Big Screen!

Kimmy Look At Moooiii – I’m on the Big Screen!

Australia’s foxiest ladies, Kath and Kim, turn more than just heads as they venture from TV set to silver screen in their movie Kath and Kimderella set for release later this year.

Roadshow Films announced today that the foxy ladies will hit Aussie cinemas nationally September 6 2012.

Starring the comedy series’ original cast, the film’s storyline is being kept nice and quiet, yet we do know we can expect Kath and Kim to pack their bags, head overseas and stumble into their own fairytale…. intrigued?

The award-winning TV Show originated as a weekly skit on the TV show Fast Forward in the 1990’s. It was developed into a full series in 2002. It has also spawned an Australian made-for-TV film, and an American TV Show by the same name.

Kath and Kim expect big things from their big screen debut:

“I have been up to pussies bow working out what to wear for the Oscars next year” Kim bemoans, “do I go ritzy or tizzy indie?”

“I was made for the wide screen” Kim says simply, “and like Avatar I will be working blue.”

Kath and Kimderella was filmed in Melbourne and Italy and is currently only scheduled for release in Australia.

Sian's love for movies spawned from having a tight mother whose generosity stretched only to hiring movies once a week for entertainment. As a pre-teen Sian spent more pocket money then she earned on cinema tickets and thus sought a job at the cinema. Over the next decade she rose to be one of the greats in her backwater, six-screen cinema complex, zooming through the ranks from candy bar wench with upselling superpowers, to pasty projectionist, to a manager rocking a pencil skirt. Sian went on to study Journalism at university though feels her popcorn shovelling days were far more educational
