The Klara and the Sun trailer has arrived, introducing Jenna Ortega as Klara, your new best artificial friend.

Directed by Academy Award® winner Taika Waititi, Klara and the Sun is based on the bestselling novel by Nobel Prize-winning author Kazuo Ishiguro and is coming exclusively to cinemas on October 22, 2026.

The film introduces audiences to Klara, played by Jenna Ortega, an Artificial Friend who wants nothing more than to find the perfect home. When Klara meets Josie, played by Mia Tharia, the two immediately sense a kindred spirit in one another.

Josie has a fraught relationship with her mother, played by Amy Adams, and the family has suffered great loss. But Klara’s innocent wonder and unwavering loyalty begin to heal the family and bring light to Josie’s complicated world.
