Dreamworks have announced that the long awaited biopic LINCOLN is at long last going to get made.
STEVEN SPIELBERG has tried hard in the last 15 years, since before the release of Schindler’s List, to get this project off the ground and it looks like all the stars are aligning for him with principle photgraphy in 2011 and a release in 2012.
Long associated with the part was LIAM NEESON. He, by his own admission, feels too old for the part and the role has now been filled by non other than DANIEL DAY LEWIS (Last of the Mohicans, There Will Be Blood, Gangs of New York).
With this much anticipation, expectations will be high, but only a master such as Spielberg brings hope that it will truly be an epic movie.
Hopefully Janusz Kaminski will not be his Director of Photography this time around.
