Luna Outdoor Cinema Season Revving Up!

Luna Outdoor Cinema Season Revving Up!

Fine wine, premium beers, tasty cheese, comfy beanbags and a kick ass selection of films: sounds like my kind of way to farewell summer!

The new Luna outdoor cinema season is in full swing offering an intimate urban night out in Leederville.

Though summer sees Perth littered with outdoor cinemas, as the warm weather prepares to take it’s final bow, opportunities become scarce – yay for Luna giving us one last hurrah!

The lineup is rather impressive if I do say so myself with the upcoming week showcasing Quentin Tarantino’s Western riot Django Unchained, the award winning doco The Imposter, and Bill Murray’s latest flick Hyde Park on the Hudson just to name a few.

Pat on the back to Luna who have procured a tasty mix of flicks, including Hollywood blockbusters (including recent Oscar winners), foreign films and docos.

With the doors opening over an hour prior to the film starting, ticket holders are invited to ‘make a night of it’ with a licensed bar selling drinks and nibblies.

Sian's love for movies spawned from having a tight mother whose generosity stretched only to hiring movies once a week for entertainment. As a pre-teen Sian spent more pocket money then she earned on cinema tickets and thus sought a job at the cinema. Over the next decade she rose to be one of the greats in her backwater, six-screen cinema complex, zooming through the ranks from candy bar wench with upselling superpowers, to pasty projectionist, to a manager rocking a pencil skirt. Sian went on to study Journalism at university though feels her popcorn shovelling days were far more educational
