Mark Wahlberg and director Peter Berg have already worked with each other on three films Patriots Day, Deepwater Horizon and Lone Survivor and now they’re teaming up for a new trilogy of films.
Peter is set to direct the film MILE 22 with Wahlberg, Rhonda Rousey (MMA Fighter) and Iko Uwais (The Raid). Obviously it looks like Berg and Wahlberg are big fans of The Raid and the Indonesian backdrop.

In this heart-racing action thriller, a CIA agent stationed in Indonesia is tasked with transporting an informant whose identity has been discovered, from the center of the city to an awaiting getaway plane at an airport 22 miles away. While en route, they must battle corrupt police, criminal overlords and heavily-armed locals, all hell-bent on taking them out before they reach their plane.
No word on a release date as yet but I loved the three films they have done prior and yes they’re based on true stories and obviously this one isn’t but fingers crossed they bring their A Game.
