More Running Man?

More Running Man?

Arnold Schwarzenegger himself has dropped a hint that we might soon be seeing a Running Man sequel in the works, the star was in the UK recently where he dropped the rumour.

The Running Man was a 1987 film directed by Paul Michael Glaser who didn’t go on to direct much on the big screen at all with his filmography returning to TV since then. Running Man was based on the Stephen King novel of the same name.

Schwarzenegger has been reported to say the following;

It’s an honor to be asked back after all these years, back to the franchise. This is really wild… They’re doing a Twins sequel, to be called ‘Triplets’ I’ve read the first draft. There’s rumblings of a new ‘Running Man’ movie, so it’s a great honor to be asked back… [Getting in shape for these sequels] comes back to bodybuilding, I’m used to doing cardiovascular training every day. Therefore I’m still in good shape, and I can do the action and have the energy to do these movies.

Arnold has Terminator: Genisys out next year, with another Conan sequel likely to follow in the not too distant future.

Leith spent most of his formative years growing up on the coastal fringes of Western Australia without a cinema in sight. There he grew up on the wonders of home rentals before relocating to Perth and gaining access to a proper cinematic experience just in time for the Star Wars Special Edition re-releases. From there Leith's love of movies expanded to volunteering on a Star Wars fan film, reviewing films, writing about film news, and attending film and pop-culture related conventions on the other side of the world. Leith's favourite films are too many to mention but all start with the Star Wars saga, Back to the Future, the Dark Knight trilogy, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings and all things Kevin Smith. With an insatiable appetite for all things pop-culture related Leith also has an unhealthy addiction to the world of comics and can often be found buried under a pile of unread back issues madly trying to catch up on a number of titles coming out from mostly DC and Darkhorse.
