Must See Movies for 2013

Must See Movies for 2013

2012 was a great year of movies and as we move into 2013 I though we would take a short look the best of whats to come.

Now usually I would post up our own trailers for these sorts of things but Youtube just makes life a tad more easier! They are ranked by release and as we don’t have trailers for the entire year yet, this is mainly for the first half of the year. January 24th – DJANGO UNCHAINED

Tarantino’s spagetti western starring Jamie Fox, Chrisoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson.

January 31st – ZERO DARK THIRTY

Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty tells the story about the biggest manhunt in history with Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Joel Edgerton, Mark Strong, Jennifer Ehle, Kyle Chandler and Edgar Ramirez.

February 21st – CLOUD ATLAS

The epic story that pans generations into the past and future brought to us on the big screen by the Wachowski siblings with a massive casting including Tom Hanks, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Ben Whishaw, Susan Sarandon, Hugh Grant, Halle Berry, Doona Bae, James D’Arcy, Zhou Xun, Keith David and David Gyasi.

7th March – OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL

Sam Raimi imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved character, the Wizard of Oz starring James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams, Zach Braff

21st March – A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD

Bruce Willis is back doing what he does best, shooting, killing and blow up things. This time around hes brought an Australian along for the ride.

28th March – GI JOE: RETALIATION 3D

Was a bit worried about this when it got pushed back last year, but I loved the hell out of the first one and this one looks just as overtop and crazy. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson & Bruce Willis join the cast along with Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, Ray Stevenson and Channing Tatum.

11th April – WARM BODIES

Whats not to love.. Zombies with a bit of heart – starring Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, John Malkovich and Dave Franco.

25th April – IRON MAN 3

No explanation needed really?

9th May – THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES

Ryan Goslings next film with a sensational supporting cast including Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Ray Liotta, Rose Byrne and Ben Mendelsohn.

16th May – STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS

I completely loved the first Star Trek film (was never really a fan of the TV series either) so this one should work rather nicely and by the looks of the announcement trailer Paramount has thrown bucketloads of cash at it.. cant wait.

30th May – THE GREAT GATSBY

I did get slightly worried when this film got pushed back but I love pretty much all of Baz Luhrmann’s movies (Australia never happened) and with a fantastic cast and Luhrmann’s vision I think its going to be rather amazing.

20th June – DESPICABLE ME 2

Those little minion bastards are the most hilarious addition to bascially any animated film. Eventhough Gru is back for this one I can’t wait to see what they get up to again. (it’s soo flufffyyyy)

27th June – MAN OF STEEL

Yes I know some people look at the trailer and go… has Superman gone emo? but alas I am still really really excited to see this and I know our readers are aswell as the trailer has got thousands of hits.

So there you have it! Lets now take a snapshot at the rest of the year.
