Last year rumours circulated of a Rambo TV series that would be filmed without the man himself, Stallone. This had fans questioning the future of any more Rambo additions in the popular film series.
The good news for the fans is that a German company, Splendid Films, have purchased the rights to a new Rambo movie. They released the following statement earlier today: “With ‘Rambo V’ Sylvester Stallone returns in his iconic role. This time he goes up against a Mexican cartel”.
While information is still scarce, it has been confirmed that Sylvester Stallone is already writing the screenplay and is ready to jump back into the role. He even described the new film as ‘Rambo’ meets ‘No Country for Old Men’. It certainy sounds like an interesting combination.
The last Rambo released in cinemas was in 2008. Release date for the new film has yet to be confirmed.
