According to The Hollywood Reporter Universal Pictures is going to go ahead with a planned sequel to the smash hit ‘Bridesmaids’ with or without Kristen Wiig.
Kristen Wiig who’s big break happened back in 2005 when she was included in the cast list of ‘Saturday Night Live’ which is also one of my favorite variety programs, from there her career has continued to be on the up and up, but her biggest role to date was writer/producer and star of the recent film ‘Bridesmaids’, the film went on to pull in over $288 million on a budget of only $32million.
Will be extremely interesting to see where Universal takes this but since Melissa McCarthy’s performance of Megan was the biggest and most hilarious surprise of the film, I think if they do shy away from Kristen for the next film the likelihood is the film will be centered on McCarthy’s character.
