No Megan Fox in Transformers 3

No Megan Fox in Transformers 3

Variety has reported that Paramount have decided against picking up Fox’s option for starring in Transformers 3. It seems that Michael Bay intends to take the story line in a new direction and plans to introduce a new love interest for Shia LaBeouf’s character.

Assuming this news is unrelated to the brief public dispute between Fox and Bay it seems to be quite an unexpected turn in direction for the franchise which has no doubt benefited greatly from Fox’s involvement not to mention the films strongly emphasising the romantic relationship between Sam and Mikaela. To suddenly remove Mikaela from the story as it were, seems like it could be quite a jarring transition.

Having said that, these films aren’t exactly known for delivering a compelling story so it is likely Bay could simply resolve her absence in a brief scene and then move on forgetting about her entire existence in the previous films.

Transformers 3 is expected to begin shooting this year, Megan Fox can next be seen in Warner Brother’s “Jonah Hex” based on the comic book of the same name from DC where she stars with Josh Brolin.

Leith spent most of his formative years growing up on the coastal fringes of Western Australia without a cinema in sight. There he grew up on the wonders of home rentals before relocating to Perth and gaining access to a proper cinematic experience just in time for the Star Wars Special Edition re-releases. From there Leith's love of movies expanded to volunteering on a Star Wars fan film, reviewing films, writing about film news, and attending film and pop-culture related conventions on the other side of the world. Leith's favourite films are too many to mention but all start with the Star Wars saga, Back to the Future, the Dark Knight trilogy, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings and all things Kevin Smith. With an insatiable appetite for all things pop-culture related Leith also has an unhealthy addiction to the world of comics and can often be found buried under a pile of unread back issues madly trying to catch up on a number of titles coming out from mostly DC and Darkhorse.
