Richard E. Grant is joining the cast of the Disney+ Loki series, that will star Tom Hiddleston as the trickster god. It has not been announced who Grant will be playing. Variety reports that the actor will only appear in a single episode of the series. However, it seems he will yet another villainous character.
Grant starred in James Mangold’s LOGAN as the villainous Dr. Zander Rice. But he will likely be playing a completely different character. Audiences may also remember him for STAR WARS:THE RISE OF SKYWALKER where he played General Enric Pryde who clashed with Domnhall Gleeson’s General Hux.
LOKI will follow Hiddleston’s Loki character at different times in human history, influencing major events after he absconded with one of the Infinity Stones during AVENGERS:ENDGAME. Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Sophia Di Martino are also set to star in the series. LOKI will debut on Disney+ sometime in 2021.
