Robert Downey Jnr’s Latest Stunt Delays Iron Man 3

No you presumptuous meanies, Robert Downey Jnr. hasn’t regressed back to his naughty ways, this latest stunt was literal.

Whilst performing a stunt on set in Wilmington, North Carolina, Downey Jnr managed to hurt his ankle and thus production has paused whilst the star takes time to recuperate.

I suppose injury is something studios just have to accept when you cast actors who are almost 50 in action hero roles (a yummy almost 50-year-old though he may be!) Still, Downey Jnr is practically a spring chicken when you look at the line up for The Expendables 2! Can you imagine the physio bills for that production?! OUCH!

I digress; good news is, the injury is minor and Iron Man 3 is still on track for release on April 26th 2013.
