Robert Downey Jr has had much success with THE AVENGERS which was released April 2012 and IRON MAN 3 which hit the big screen just two months ago – and is now the fifth highest grossing film of all time. Between those two films he has earned a lot of cash, and I mean a lot.
His crazy good looks, convincing acting and quick smart dialogue makes Downey Jr the perfect Iron Man. His contract with Marvel was suppose to end with IRON MAN 3, but he has been offered a new deal to come back as Iron Man/Tony Stark in AVENGERS 2 and AVENGERS 3. Director Joss Whedon recently said in an interview that he had no intention on making the films without Downey Jr. Filming will begin in March next year for AVENGERS 2 to be released in 2015.
I’m personally excited to see Robert Downey Jr return in the blockbuster sequels alongside Captain America, Black Widow, The Hulk, Hawkeye and Thor.
