Russell Brand is a happy man after being asked to host next month’s MTV Movie Awards: “they incorporate two of my favourite things: movies and awards. If somehow group sex could be involved it would be the night of my life.”
This is Brand’s first stint as a movie awards host, and though he’s no Billy Crystal (the all time champion Oscar host), he has proven himself entertaining during his emceeing duties for the 2008 and 2009 MTV Music Awards, so we can expect a fun night (Mr Brand has boasted it will be “more impressive than The Avengers“).
Harry Potter, Bridesmaids, The Hunger Games, The Help and Twilight Breaking Dawn will be battling it out for the title of MTV’s movie of the year.
